| Video Systems Technician. As a Video
Systems Tech, I did installation, maintenance,
measurements, and repairs to all CATV Analog and Digital
Headend video and audio equipment, and test equipment. I
brought the new computer system up and online for
Pay-Per-View movies, account billing and polling of
converter boxes, and did data entry for PPV movie/time
slots. Also, brought the electronic program guide online
correctly. I also did daily backups, maintenance, and
repairs. Have worked with all CATV test equipment
including spectrum analyzers, sweep generators,
oscilloscopes, frequency counters, signal generators,
analog & digital volt-ohm meters, fiber splicing,
TDRs, RF analyzer, Satellite power meters, VITS and video
noise generators, FCC Proof Of Performance analyzer,
WaveTek twoway system analyzer. I have worked with
installation and maintenance of Scientific Atlanta
Contimuum 9820/9821 Modulators, 9890 BTSC Stereo
Encoders, 6470 Chassis, 6473 Optical Networks
Transmitters, 9810/9813 Controllers and interface
modules, 8656 Video Scramblers, 6971DR Dual Reverse fiber
optic Receivers, General Instruments IRT1000, IRT2000,
DSR-3500, and DSR-4500 Commerical Satellite
Receiver/Decoders, and wedge video decoders, all Digital
Video Receivers, encoder and modulator installation,
setup, and maintenance. I have also, installed/repaired
Weather Channel - Weather Star character generators.
Among other items, I have worked with Sun Microsystems,
and Unix, DOS, Windows 95, 98, NT. I have done home
converter testing and setup. 2 years - service technician, 2 years - outside cable line tech., 1 1/2 years - studio control room engineer, 2 1/2 - years bench technician, 2 years - research and development, 1 1/2 years - CLI tech, 14 1/2 years - Computer and Headend Specialist, equipment & software installation and repair. Installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of all CATV headend, Satellite and Satellite dish, Studio equipment. Also, have worked on Evansville Vand. School Corp. RF based lan system in conjunction with TCI Cable TV. I have installed all of Xpress News Service systems for Vanderburgh County Schools. ALL of Proof of Performance testing and reports and Headend testing for last 15 years. Operate computer tech. help desk and answered technicial problem phone calls for other TCI/Insight systems to call when they had problems. Installation, maintenance, and repair of all PC computers and terminals for all company employees. Installation and maintenance of company LAN network. Train workers on operation of software and hardware applications.
