It was torn down to build our Public Library.

This is a sketch by a local artist, George Elliot, of the lift Locks.

Peterborough form the air.


Centenial Fountain. Located on litle Lake, in the heart of the city, this jet fountain is the highest in Canada! Water is propelled 76m. (250 ft.) straight up.


Celebration of one of the most outstanding engineering feats of it's day, the Hydraulic Lift Lock, took place in the spring of 1904.
