Yorkshire, England. Jonas died in Hempstead, Nassau Co., NY on 11 Jun 1683, he
was 73. Buried in Hempstead, Nassau Co., NY.
On 12 Apr 1632 when Jonas was 22,
he married Sarah "Susan" Butterfield, in England. Born in 1615 in
York, Yorkshire, England. Sarah "Susan" died in Hempstead, Nassau
Co., NY abt 1670, she was 55.
2 i. Timothy

2. Sr. Timothy Halstead. Born
abt 1633 in Northowram, Halifax, Yorkshire, England. Timothy died in Elizabeth,
NJ on 10 Mar 1702, he was 69. Buried in St Johns Episcopal Church, Elizabeth,
NJ.
In 1657 when Timothy was 24, he
married Hannah "Sarah" Williams, in Hempstead, Nassau Co., NY. Born
in 1636 in Halifax Parish, Yorkshire, England. Hannah "Sarah" died in
NJ in 1698, she was 62. Buried in St Johns Episcopal Church, Elizabeth, NJ.
3 i. Joseph

3. Joseph C. Halstead. Born on 12 Sep 1665 in Hempstead, Nassau
Co., NY. Joseph C. died in Westchestertown, Westchester Co., NY on 10 Aug 1736,
he was 70.
In 1694 when Joseph C. was 28, he
first married Sarah Farris, in Hempstead, Nassau Co., NY. Born on 12 Sep 1676
in Fairfield, Fairfield Co., CN. Sarah died in Hempstead, Nassau Co., NY in
1723, she was 46.

NY on 1 Dec 1785, he was 85.
In 1727 when Richard was 27, he
married Ester Oldfield, in New York. Born on 9 Oct 1707 in Jamaica, Long
Island, NY. Ester died in Goshen, Orange Co., NY on 3 Sep 1785, she was 77.
5 i. Isaiah

Isaiah first married Jemina. Born

(Marian) Harding. Born on 8 Jan 1744 in Luzerne, PA. Mariam (Marian) died in
Dec 1762, she was 18.

James married Sarah Doud. Born in
1785. Sarah died in 1849, she was 64.

married Mary "Charity" Huff.

"Charity" died in Cooper, Kalamazoo, MI on 8 Dec 1894, she was
85. Buried on 10 Dec 1894 in Kalamazoo

Co., MI on 20 May 1922, he was 80. He
is buried in the Mountain Home Cemetery, Otsego, Allegan Co., MI.
On 17 Sep 1868 when James William
was 27, he married Sarah Ellen Norton, daughter of Henry Norton (1792-1854)
& Mary Baxter (1801-1873), in Otsego, Allegan Co., MI.

On 23 Aug 1893 when Dora Amellia
was 20, she married Clinton Goldsmith Snyder, son of Louis Peter Snyder
(1820-1900) & Anna M. Goldsmith (1820-1885), in Cooper, MI. Clinton was
born on 28 Dec 1850 in Indiana and died in Otsego, MI on 8 Aug 1920, he was
69. He is buried in Otsego, MI.

All of Dora's
children were born in the family farm house about one mile north of Otsego. The house is now gone.
