| Texas Air Cargo, a 100% owner-operator staffed virtual airline officially opened it's doors for business in March. Since the initial posting of the homepage, slightly less than one month ago, TAC has had over 600 hits. During the last week of March the daily average of hits jumped to 40 per day. Shane Bouton, the Chief Operating Officer for this fledgling V.A. attributes this to the company's registering with all of the major search engines. He goes on to say that he was dissappointed at first at the low number of employment applications the company received, but things are really picking up now. "Many simmers just stopped by to see what this was all about, but now the idea is catching on" Bouton said. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| TAC - UPS Negotiations | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Texas Air Cargo is currently negotiating a new contract with United Parcel Service (UPS) to fly various cargo from and to airports such as: Chicago-O'Hare, JFK Intl, San Francisco Intl, and LAX among others. Details are still confidential, but COO Shane Bouton did state that owner-operators that are looking for real long haul oportunities will love this deal. It was also revealed that this contract could make at least two new hubs a real possibility. New hubs would mean great things for everyone. Let's keep our fingers crossed on this one! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Flying; Part 1 | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Spring is in the air in central Texas and across the states. That means beatiful flowers, warm days and thunderstorms that can pop up out of nowhere. Texas Air Cargo would like to remind all of it's pilots that Austin, as well as many of our destinations are within "tornado alley". This translates to the possibility of strong thunderstorms at almost anytime from now through about mid-May. Please use extreme caution during this period and always use the Weather.com icon on the available flights page to get an up to the minute weather forecast for you route. Above all else, BE SAFE! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
