Flame Scallops
This extremely colorful species is found in the Caribbean, and reaches a size of three inches.  They have an amusing method of propulsion which involves clapping their shells together to jet propel themselves through the water.  They are filter feeders and feed on plankton and other nutrients in the water.
I have two Flame Scallops and they tend to stay on opposite sides of the tank.  They are also pretty active and will move in a moments notice if something bothers them.  I have been told not to put them in a tank with snails, because the snail will wedge between the scallop's shells and devour the scallop.  Food for thought.
