Malachi 3:9-12
****************************
:8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
:9 Ye [are] cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me,[even] this whole nation.
:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not[be room] enough [to receive it].
:11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.
:12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.
Psalms 1:1-3
Deuteronomy 8:17-18
****************************
:17 And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of [mine] hand hath gotten me this wealth.:18 But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for [it is] he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as [it is] this day.
Deu 8:19 And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.

Proverbs 13:11
Tithing
****************************
__I have often wondered about preachers and some church demoninations, why they go so far to avoid any mention of Titheing. Especially considering that God has given us two clear choices in Mal. In verse 8 He tells us to withhold our tithe is to rob God and to choose His curse rather than His blessing. In verse 10 He tells us that to tithe is to choose God's Blessing. He even offers to prove Himself to us if we are obediant in our tithes and offerings.
__God does not need our money, and each tithe is a personal thing between the giver and Our Father. The only one who knows what you should give is God, and He is the only one you should consult prior to giving. There are many ways to tithe and not all are with money. I can promise you this, if whatever you give doesn't mean anything to you it won't mean anything to Him. God knows how easy it is for me to give money and how hard it is for me to give time, So when I give of my time it means more to Him because it means more to me. However, He expects me to give of all that He has given me.
__Malachi is not a book about prosperity as most would have you to believe, but rather a book about obedience to God, and in all things not just titheing. With obedience comes prosperity as well as everything else found in God's blessing. God could turn stones into gold, so what value would money be to Him? He needs our obedience not our money, because to be obediant is to return to God and He said if we would return to Him, He would return to us. He said there would not be room enough to receive the blessing He would pour out on us for this obedience.
__Maybe I am old fasion but to me tithe means 10% and an offering is something over and above my tithe, but Like I said eariler a tithe is personal between the giver and his God. Personally I would rather keep 90% of my money with God's Blessing than to have 100% with His Curse. It is only in obedience that we will be of any use to God.
__His joy, His prosperity, His protection, His direction, and His Love poured out in amounts that are too great to be received. These Blessings await all who are obedient to God's word and choose to be blessed by giving to Him whatever He askes, and accepting what ever He Gives.
__My old Pappy used to say that if you offer your money up to God by titheing, Money will never become your God, and that if you didn't offer it up He wouldn't even be able to bless it or increase it or to protect it.
__Sunday when you pass the plate return to God and He will return to you. Only He knows but He knows all. Please be blessed.
