ADMISSIONS COUNSELOR, 1/2000
I’ve been an Admissions Counselor, for three months now;
I have to say that I like it, as I’m figuring out what, and how.
I love to teach, and to mentor the young, who are like lost sheep;
I enjoy telling tales of woes to new students that I want to keep.
It’s a new career move for me, but I know that I will do well;
I love people, and I have already proved that I can sell.
Selling is an art, but students will decide on a whim;
without great stories of success, my chances are slim.
I get to use my wisdom, stories, and show them charts;
As I, meet, greet, test, and enroll them using my smarts.
It’s a soft sell, but can get ugly on any day you enroll none;
when in the zone, I make up for it, and it becomes allot of fun!
