This central Texas lake in north of Austin, near Salado, just off Interstate 35. It is a Corps of Engineers lake. They have a web site: http://www.swf-wc.usace.army.mil/stillhouse/. There is an exit off I-35.
The shore is often rocky. The camp sites look nice, with cabins and showers. There is also a nice little floating marina at the north end of the lake. There are several boat ramps on the north and south sides of the lake, which runs mostly E-W. The wind usually blows from the south.
