2002
ANNUAL MEETING of
THE
CONFERENCE OF COLLEGE TEACHERS OF ENGLISH
Members of CCTE are invited to submit papers for the 2002 conference at Sam Houston State University.
The deadline for submission is Oct. 15, 2001.
CCTE welcomes papers in all areas of language and
literature, including multi-ethnic literature and linguistics. Also welcome are proposals for panels or workshops on a
variety of issues and practices in teaching writing, such as ESL,
remediation, and the virtual classroom.
Proposals should be submitted to the chair of the appropriate section
listed below.
Please
follow these guidelines for submitting papers:
Submit three copies of a 500-word abstract. Creative works, however, must be complete.
CCTE accepts only papers, including creative writing pieces, that have not been read or published elsewhere.

for $400 and a plaque in recognition of professional achievement. The 2001
