THE CHOSEN ONE

Once upon a time my family lived on Cadomai, simple farmers living simple lives. Until one day, the Cult of M'dweshuu arrived seeking my father. They said that our family left Kintan 60 years ago without paying our dues to the cult.

They began to kill my family. We are and hid as they cut us down one-by-one. I found a safe spot and hid... until the screams and blasts ceased. I thought they had left, but they were still there when I revealed myself. Then, a strange thing happened. They disarmed and prostrated before me, saying that I was the Awaited Prophecy. They claimed I was the M'dweshuu Nova Made Flesh.

And to cleanse me, my family had to be slain.

Of course I picked up my blaster and blew away every cult member prostrating there before me. So began my flight from the cult who even now hunts for me in two factions. The first to convert me into the Awaited Prophecy. The second believes me to be a dangerous impostor and seeks my death.

THE GOURMET CHEF

I was the best gourmet chef this side of the Perlemian Trade Route. I won many accolades and prizes for my unique and special dished that most bipedal mammalian and reptilian (plus some avian) species found exquisite and delicious. Almost every grand hotel in the Mid-Rim wanted me to be their head chef. Every food I made was a special event. I was proud of my talents.

Then during a food festival on Brentaal, I cooked dewback ribs with chak-root, a scrumptuous meal for all. The dewback meat was tainted. All the participants who ate my food died in pain right there before my eyes. I was shattered by the event. The surviving food committee banished me from the circle and took back all my medals and prizes. A relative of a killed participant, a crime lord on Celanon, has posted a bounty on my head.

I ran, of course. But soon after I have learned that the food had been poisoned by an Imperial Moff in order to kill some people in the festival who were suspected Rebel leaders. Now I must seek out the Moff in order to clear my name and get the bounty on me retracted.
