These squid-headed amphibious sapients might be the less glamorous native of the water planet Calamari but they sure are all over the place. And of all places they can be, they are seen frequenting hot, dry worlds such as Tatooine. If that's not a death wish I don't know what is.

On the other hand, Calamari in the waning days of the Old Republic (as they say) was not represented by a Mon Calamari, but Senator Tikkes a Quarren. Now that either shows gumption or perhaps them sneaky Mon Cals shoved a Quarren up there to take all the political crap.:)
