Ky is an aging warrior. He is old fashioned and some might say outdated, but don’t let that fool you. He has seen first hand what others have only seen in holovids. He started out the third of four children of a moisture farmer on a colonial planet called Kazir. He was taught at an early age to use a rifle and a blaster. By the age of ten he was a crack shot and could hold his own against local bandits and other outlaws. He lived out his humdrum existence day by day.

On his twelfth birthday, however, his whole world changed. A strange alien came to his homestead and asked to be put up for the night. His father being a courteous man could not refuse him. This man later revealed he was a member of the Jedi Council, a Jedi Knight named Ki-Adi Mundi. He said that he had heard of a boy who was quite the warrior and came to see if they were just rumors. The Jedi said that he sensed a strong manifestation of the force in this boy and that the instincts the boy had were due to a skill that Jedi have called combat sense, a skill that can allow a person to see attacks before they happen almost like precognition. Ki-Adi Mundi convinced Ky’s father to allow him to train Ky in the ways of the Jedi.

He was taken before the Jedi Council and cleared to become a Padawan under Ki-Adi Mundi. He was a very fast learner of the powers and a natural with a lightsaber. By the age of twenty-four he took the trials and became one of the youngest in the Order. Soon afterwards the clone wars started and he was made a Colonel in the Republic Army commanding a battalion of men who loved him like a father and would do anything he asked them to do. He sent many of these good young men to their deaths and to this day he wakes up in a cold sweat due to the nightmares he had to endure. His one regret is never taking on a student to carry on the glorious tradition of the Jedi Order. The world that Ky knew melted away when he learned that not only his mentor, Ki-Adi Mundi, but his entire family was killed in the Great Purge, betrayed by the Senator, Palpatine, and his traitorous lapdog, the Dark Jedi Darth Vader. He went into hiding and faked his own death to escape the purge. He has lived as a hermit on his home world on the farm that his father built all those years ago for the past twenty years but in recent years he has tried to find an apprentice to pass on his Jedi tradition to. He joined the Rebellion to do just that.
