Ben One-Howel rose from the ashes of a Jedi family which was strong in the Force. He joined the Strikeforce Enteague very early on and was involved in the Trace Traverse test in the pocket universe world of Zarligrenor.

He was steadfast, loyal, a bit goofy and was quick (sometimes too quick) to join a battle. On the Zarligrenor mission he also obtained a lightsaber with a pink blade which he named Matilda. He had a strong phobia to contaminated air, so he has a supply of oxygen with breath mask standing by at all times.

Ben also had a relative who was a bantha rancher on Felgrane in the Enteague Sector. His Uncle Sam Howel once asked him to sell Betsy the bantha at Felgrane City Market. By nightfall Betsy was still unsold. A cloaked figure was willing to trade Betsy for a handful of magic beans, and Ben took up the offer. Of course, Uncle Sam got mad and threw the magic beans out the window. The next morning, they discovered that the beans were genetically-engineered rapid growing beans which climbed to the skies and snagged a cloaked, repulsor-borne Imperial Intelligence station. Ben, Shanna, and the team climbed the beanstalk, attacked and destroyed the Imperial spy base!

One day he discovered that his Force powers had grown enough for him to telekinetically defeat an AT-AT, he asked everyone to follow him to Coruscant to assassinate the Emperor. Of course nobody followed. So he went alone and was immediately captured by a legion of stormtroopers upon disembarking the transport. Later, the team had to rescue him from the penal planet Graynor.

Ben One-Howel was the son of Ben Two-Howel, a Jedi who disappeared into the Infinity's Well, a black hole in the Enteague Sector. Ben's mother was Rebecca Anne-Marie Hutchkins-Howel, the Rebel Commander on Veninsik. His grandfather was Ben Three-Howel, a member of a task force who hunted the Dark Jedi Herroth Rax and failed. And his great-grandfather Ben Four-Howel, one of Trace Traverse's three murdered Padawans.

Ben One-Howel figured that someday his son would be named Ben Zero-Howel.
