Ham Slacker claimed to be a Twi'lek-Human hybrid who was born somewhere in the Enteague Sector, and recruited by Drew Greyhelm to be tech support for the team. It really helped that he had a swashbuckling attitude.

His grandfather was Kane Slacker, a human who teamed up many years ago with Kym Toarinar to defeat Dark Jedi Herroth Rax but failed.

Ham Slacker was captured by Imperials during his first mission. He was imprisoned in Gamma Complex on the prison world Graynor for some weeks before he was rescued by teammate Xepheer Xeneeth.

Five years after the disbanding of the Strikeforce and several months after the Battle of Endor, Commander Ooogle Flutzgle recalled Ham Slacker for active duty (mainly because Ham was the only former member of the Strikeforce he could get his vines on). Ham became the de facto leader of the new Strikeforce Enteague that consisted of Qore Cenvax, Quan Terral Lefex, Abak Taketh and Guideron Starport, among others.

Then, Ham found himself being hunted by minions of Imperial Captain Garj Erendon of the ISD Decapitator. After some investigating, they soon tracked Captain Erendon to the now-deserted Gamma Complex of Graynor. He discovered that Captain Erendon had a genetic blood disease that was fatal and wished to join the New Republic. But it was all a ruse to get their guard down. Captured, the team was brought to Point Saaris on the ice planet Kendell.

Erendon needed to retrieve something called the X'thakk capacitor crystal buried under the ice by the Emperor himself. The crystal, he claimed, will restore his failing health. But in order to retrieve it, he had to obtain the code which had been programmed into a nanobug. The nanobug had been injected into the bloodstream of someone who was incarcerated in Gamma Complex years before. There were seven candidate. Erendon had already killed six to no avail. The last candidate was Ham Slacker.

In the end, Erendon sliced Ham's jugular vein and found the nanobug. There was a fracas between Erendon's Snowtroopers and deserter Stormtroopers in New Republic cold weather gear. Using a pulse transmitter with the coded nanobug, the X'thakk crystal, a small orange, translucent mountain, emerged from under the ice. But the crystal didn't work on Erendon before it slipped back under the ice.

After Ham was tended to by medics, Erendon surrendered to the New Republic. Later, after the Battle of Sluis Van, Ham was involved with Shanna Toarinar, Phoenix Avalon and Qore Cenvax in defeating the Dark Side Spirit of Herroth Rax.

Currently, Ham can still be found acting in an advisory position to the new Strikeforce Enteague, Quan Terral Lefex's Enteague Intelligence team, and Abak Taketh's Nemesis Squadron.
