This project will be a high energy touring show: no cookie cutter four-sets-per-night cover band. Venues will be festivals, major clubs, and high profile appearances of interest. A European tour is also possible when ready.
Style is best described as "...prog rock roots inspired by European, Middle Eastern, and Gypsy/Klyzmer music shaped by the the creative experience of the bandmembers."

Seasoned professionals preferred, but will keep an open mind regarding anybody able to demonstrate sufficient talent and vision. Musicians must be available for writing, rehearsing, recording, and appearances/performances. Have: your own equipment, transportation, imagination, and TIME. (Of course, a source of income,too.) A current passport may be needed in the future.
SFODA and it's members/affiliates should promote human rights and dignity, but the other important thing is to HAVE FUN. (If you feel the need to suffer for your art, get into a blues band or play at Harry's Cocktail Lounge.) The creative process should be enjoyable from first writing session, to recording, to encores. A well developed sense of the ridiculous helps for touring. (How do you audition for the level of tolerance required to endure the ambience of a tour van after six weeks?
Think of SFODA as a chance to run away and join the circus, put some fun and feeling back into the music, and make people happy.
