Mr. Mooney's Desk
Mr. Mooney's desk is so cluttered
To find something makes one fluttered.
From the house near the window made of Popsicle sticks
To the right hand corner framed flower pics.
Papers and folders all over the place
It's hard to imagine he can find any space.
Dictionaries, binders, artwork, and books
He does not care much about how it looks.
A market day order as blank as can be
Why he never filled it out still puzzles me.
Tape, staplers, and paper clips
Notebooks, pens and pencil tips.
A crate sits on top filled with papers galore
He has about three thermoses, does he need anymore?
If you look quite closely, you will see in the back
An apple with "Mr. Mooney" printed on black.
If you look at this desk with only a glance,
You miss something more, give it a chance!
For you never notice the desk itself
It is old, an antique, with chips in the shelf.
The character and value surely shows
Who used this desk?  God only knows!
For a desk like this has a history
But its life and age is a mystery.
So without the distraction of the mess
To find the desk would be effortless.
