aboard the CSS FLORIDA,

The following list of enlisted personnel on the CSS Florida was compiled by Acting Chief Engineer W.S. Thompson, aboard the vessel at St. Georges, Bermuda on June 27th, 1864. The details were transcribed from National Archives Microfilm publication T 716, roll number 3, which contain items from the engineering and medical sections of the vessel, as well as several court martial proceedings which were held aboard the vessel in September, 1864 (some of these court martial proceedings will be transcribed and placed on a separate web page shortly). Preceding the list of names, Thompson made the following notations:

Acting Chief Engineer W.S. Thompson, Acting 1st Assistant Engineer William Ahern, Acting 2nd Assistant Engineer J.B. Brown, took charge in place of Acting 1st Assistant Engineer Quinn detached, Messrs. Rose & McWilliams discharged.

No account of stores, state of engine & c., or log books received.

At 5.20 p.m. underway & stood for sea.
