Dear Anime fans,
Many many many MANY Anime fans watch anime to be taken off into a different world far from their normal reality. But as your sitting, watching your favorite bishounen or bishoujo prance around in skimpy outfits the real world always comes back to bite you in the butt...i.e. the power goes out, or your parents yell at you. So it's hard to be an anime otaku and feel full-filled that you are truly part of this animated world and doing enough to prove your devotion to a particular show or character.
Thats why despite some contradiction and lack of interest in the reader, some hard-core fans limitlessly write themselves into a work of fanfiction or fanart, as a main character. I must admit even I am guilty of this as I am also guilty of being one of the least interested peoples that don't care much for reading a fic circling around an original character that you don't know. So in reverence for my future actions and those of others....I have started this page.
Self-Confidence & Getting Invovled
Here people are free to turn in works of fanfiction or fanart that contains who they are in it, or who their alias is. Instead of your character wether it be you or one based on you being a plot filler that helps the story go along my mission here is to make that character a real person in anime world, not just fandom world. So you the helpless otaku that isn't afraid to admit that they WANT to be seen in a lemon with Heero, or that they WANT people to know that they were the one who killed Yohji are the people that are going to make this work and probably make a whole miniscule alliance of original characters and the roles they play. So now that the mission statement is over...please continue.
Sending in a Character Profile
1. You need a name for your character and when I say character I also mean it could be you so just send in your name. Attention This is Not a roleplay but a band of original characters...You can base your characters on another character but it can't be identical. But I do understand the names can be that same like it is in some animes, for example, Goku from DBZ and then Goku from Saiyuuki. But please, try your hardest to be individual.
2. Describe your character. First describe him/her in text form using detail for about a paragraph. Describe looks, clothes, accessories, blemishes, and weapons if any. Then draw an accurate (or as accurate as it can get) picture of your character, try to use the described color and capture the character's personality in the eyes and face shape, and smile. If you must...send me a detailed description and I'll draw your character for you but this is not recommended because I will never be positive on the actual soul of your character. You could say you have long brown hair and dark black eyes and I could do a million things with that.
3. It is mandatory that your character only be involved in ONE anime, otherwise their jumping universes, and thats not right. Also keep it within the same role...you can't make your character a bad guy and then make him just suddenly decide to be good. I know it's possible but it's too conspicuous. So label what anime your character is involved in
4. The role in which your character plays. For example...Ken's love interest. You'd lable it something like : Works at the coffee shop down the street from the Koneko no Sumu Ie (where Ken works) and is the reason Ken gets coffee every morning.
5. Give your character a little history. Where are his/her parents? Where was she born and when? Has she moved houses alot and traveled around only to end up where he/she is now? Make it detailed...and about a paragraph long.
6. Give it some life. What are his/her interests? His/her talents, skills, dislikes, favorite color, blootype, horoscope. Anything to describe personality and material status. Describe him/her just like your favorite anime characters are described...interesting and in-depth.
7. Finally when everything is finished on character planning, send an E-mail to me with the text portion of your description at StellarKai02@aol.com Lable everything and make sure I can see the character's name and what anime he/she is from.
8. Send the picture of your character to Ami as an already existing html file Much much MUCH more appreciated or an attachment in jpg or gif format, try not to make it more than 200 or 300k and lable it clearly with the character's name and anime he/she is involved in...for example, your characters name is Aya and is in Weiss Kreuz. You can label it Aya_WK.jpg or Aya_Weiss.jpg, or anything else making sure we know what your talking about. If we don't, don't fear, we'll E-mail you.
Label yourself (not the character but physical you) as the Profiler, or the person that put the profile together, because your character is a person now.

Fanfiction and Fanart
In order for you character to stay in the running you'll need to send in atleast one long fanfic, or three short ones, and atleast one fanart peice. It is only then that my mind triggers as your character existing in fandom as more than just a profile.
The Fanfiction can be any genre, in any form, (script, vid, chapters) whatever. You can send it to any of us as either an html file Again, much more preffered or a text attachment. Please have it spell and grammar checked. Also please oh please label what character it should go under and what anime it's about. If it's yaoi or shounen-ai, or a lemon please have that labeled too.
Fanart genres are all allowed as well and you can send them to IAMI15@aol.com Normally I'd have you send them to me but my computer won't take downloads right now so thats why it's easier if you send it as a working html file. Again, please label the character and what anime it's based on.
If you dont send in the required amount of fandom then your character will be removed after about a month of it being put up.
Note: Please label Fanfics and Fanart 'OC fanfics/fanart' in the subject box of the E-mail
Contest
There may be a contest in the future, not for fanart or fanfics but by the best character design and personality, there may be characters like most unique and stuff. So if you base a character on yourself, congradulations, you get stuff for being yourself! We'll have prizes of varying size...if I ever get out to the store. So keep an eye out and lets get this mission completed!
