1. Owners
Each owner must respect the other owners in the league which means no flaming the other owners and no foul language. Each owner must follow the following rules. If an owner is found breaking this rule there will be a warning giving to the owner in which the owner will have to send an e-mail apoligizing to the league. The next time the owner is caught breaking this rule they will be fired from the NHL.
2. Coach
As a coach in the NHL you are responsible for sending in line up changes and roster changes. Line-ups must be sent in atleast once a week. If we do not here from you in two weeks you will lose control of your team unless you e-mail the commish saying you will be missing for a while.
3. Roster
Each team must have an active roster off at least 20 players and 2 goaltenders. The maximum for the active roster is 26 players and three goaltenders. In addition you can have a maximum of 6 players and two goaltenders on your reserve list. If a player is injured that player has to be placed on your reserve list if the injure is more then day to day.
4. Line Ups
Each game a team must dress at least 5 defenseman, 9 forwards,and two goaltenders. You have to have 18 players dressed and two goaltenders.
5. Contracts
Each team starts of with $50 million to spend on player salaries the first year but that number will go up and down over the years. The longest a contract can be seven years while there is no limit on how much the salary can be. The minimum NHL salary is set at $165,000.
6. Trades
Trades can include players, draft picks, future considerations, or money. Each trade can be voided by the board of governors. To have the trade accepted the two owners must send an e-mail to the commish given details of the trade.
7. Entry Draft
The Entry Draft happens at the end of each season before the free agent period begins. The entry draft consists of four rounds with the lowest team in the league standings the year before going first with the top team in the league going last. If a draft pick is not signed to NHL contract within two years the player can re-enter the draft.
8. Free Agents
After the entry draft the free agency period begins. Every player which was in the final year of their contract becomes a free agent. Each team can bid on any player but will not always go to the team which offers him the most money sometimes the player will only go to a city which is close to his home or to a team in which the player believes has a change of winning the Stanley Cup.
9. Awards
At the end of each season the owner of each team will nominated one player from there team to win a following award.

The Conn Smythe Trophy is awarded to the player who is the most valuable player to his team in the playoffs. For the Conn Smythe Trophy each team nominates one player from either the winning team or from the losing team in the Stanley Cup Finals. To determine the winner of each trophy an e-mail is sent to each owner where the nominates are displayed showing there stats where each owner then writes down there list of the top three players. The first player recieves 5 points, second player recieves 3 points, and third player recieves 1 point.
An Example would be for the Hart Memorial Trophy.
10. Bonuses A team will get money bonuses for one of the team players winning a major award and for going far in the playoffs. A league breakdown of award money is as follows.

11. Board of Governors
The board os governors will consist of three owners along with the commish. Each owner that is on the board recieves an extra $100,000 for their team. The board can void any trade and will resolve any problems which come up. If a vote is tied there will be a public vote involving all teams.
