Welcome! Starbase 55 is the Headquarters for Tango Fleet Science Division. Starbase 55 is a Draco class station, located in geosynchronous orbit of Sargas II. Built at the dawn of a new century, the station opened in the year 2301. Draco class stations are mid-sized, but solidly built.

Docks 1 thru 4 are located on the same level as the Habitat Ring.
Docked at Starbase 55 is the USS Le Verrier, NCC-31922. One of few remaining Miranda class vessels in the fleet, it has been specifically refitted for science missions. The ship is named for Urbain-Jean-Joseph Le Verrier, the 19th century astronomer who discovered Neptune, using mathematics. The dedication plaque of the ship reads "He discovered a star with the tip of his pen, without any instruments other than the strength of his calculations alone."
