WE BELIEVE that All Americans who serve(d) their Country in the Armed Forces have the right to feel Proud, receive Recognition, and be Honored for their Service, regardless of their sexual
orientation or gender identification.

The American Veterans for Equal Rights-Houston Chapter is Proud to endorse the Transgender American Veterans Association (TAVA) gathering at the Vietnam Veterans' Memorial in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, May 1, 2004.

We encourage All Americans to join TAVA in conveying Our Respect for all those who stayed the course to preserve American lives and liberties, all too often at the sacrifice of their own. In this,
TAVA has Our Unanimous Support.

Respectfully,

Mitch W. Rainey,
President, AVER-Houston
