JESUS SHELTER YOUR CHILDREN

Today I saw a little boy with brusies on his hands. And when I asked him why the tears, he said help me  if you can! For everyone thinks I'm such a man, but I'm only three today! And if you would remind them, maybe then they'd let me play!

Jesus, shelter your children, from unjust hands. Let them dream of castles, fashioned in your land.

Keep them safe from angry words, that break their spirit down. Keep them in your loving care until the mighty trumpets sound.

Today I saw a young girl, with tears running down her cheek. With a swollen stomach, bag in her hand, she was walking down the street. So grown up at thirteen, just the other day.

And now alone, without a home, Father, hear my cry I pray.

Jesus, shelter your children, from unjust hands. Let them dream of castles, fashioned in your land. Keep them safe from angry words that break their spirit down. Keep them in your loving care, until the mighty trumpets sound.

Today I saw an old man, lying in a nursing home. Wishing daily someone would visit him, but once again he's all alone.

I heard the whispers of his voice, as he bowed his head in prayer.Father, could I please come home to live? I guess my friends are there!

Jesus, shelter your children, from unjust hands. Let them dream of castles, fashioned in your land. Keep them safe from angry words that break their spirit down. Keep them in your loving care until the mighty trumpets sound.

Rachel's Song

Got up Sunday morning, went to church at ten. I was looking for signs of God's love, from the people there within. But little did I realize, that he would touch my heart. As the preacher relayed his message, the tears began to start.

Oh, he spoke about a young child, from his congregation within. For he knew that they would find it hard, to accept this child among them. So he opened up his Bible to the message he had found. And the congregation  listened ,to the pages worn and bound.

He read, suffer the little children and forbid them not. For such is my kingdom, each one holds a special spot. He read, suffer the little children and forbid them not. For such is my kingdom, each one holds a special spot.

The preachers voice began to shake,as the tears rolled down his cheek. From the very heart within him, he spoke so tenderly.

He said, "Jesus knows His children, He calls each one by name. For such is His kingdom in heaven, where each little heart came.

He knows about her illness, but He loves her just the same. Oh the heart of the congregration, hung in silent grief and pain.

I don't know about tomorrow, or what it holds instore. But I know God never intended, for His child to suffer more.

So I ask my Father in my prayers, if it be within His might. To open the hearts of the people, to what's noble, just and right.

To help them understand, just what's she's going through. For someday this precious child, will need to find her way to you.

Oh, suffer the little children and forbid them not. For such is His kingdom, each one holds a special spot.

Jesus said," love my children with open arms, please don't shut that door for her to find the Saviour, where she was once before.

For when she returns to her home, she'll carry back again. All the hearts that she has touched, while she lived on earth for Him.

He said, suffer the little children and forbid them not. For while they're here with you on earth, You can touch them with your heart.

Jesus loves her this I know, for my Bible tells me so. Little ones to Him belong, She might be weak, but He is strong.

Rachel was a 2 year old little girl I met at my sister's church that I sang at, who is HIV positive. This precious little girl touched my heart in a very special way in just the short time I spent at my sister's church.

She along with thousands of other HIV positive children across our land, not only need our touch and our love, but most of all they need our prayers.

Rachel is alive today and still touching hearts with her smile!

Children are a very special gift from God. Sent to us by our heavenly Father to nurture and to love.

We as parents and guardians are called by God to bring our children up in this world with the same love God has bestowed on each of us.

Each little heart is very special to the one who created it and placed it in our care. God tells us in His word, that He knew each and every child before they were even formed in their mothers womb. And if He cares for even the littlest sparrows, are we His children not more important then sparrows?

Have you hugged you child today? Have you knelt with Him to pray?Don't put off until tomorrow, what needs to be done today!

Kayla's Song

Once A little girl, sat upon her grammy's knee.
And though she was only three years old,
Her heart began to see.
As she watched a Bible story, on the old family tv,
Her little eyes were searching, as she turned and said to me.
Grammy, grammy, why did they make Him cry?
Grammy, grammy, why did He have to die?
Grammy, grammy who put those nails in His hands?
Grammy, grammy, I don't understand!
As tears began to fill my eyes, I held tight to her hands.
Lord, where do I begin, to help her understand?
For I know Father, it wasn't nails, that held you to the tree.
You sacrificed your very life, when you shed your blood for her and me.
Grammy, grammy, why did they make Him cry?
Grammy, grammy, why did He have to die?
Grammy, grammy who put those nails in His hands?
Grammy, grammy, I don't understand!
Then the Lord spoke to my heart,He said.
Now here's where you begin!
Tell her Jesus loved her enough, to die for all her sins.
Show her how to pray each night, how to fold her little hands.
Then someday when she grow up, she will understand.
What can wash away my sins? nothing but the blood of Jesus.
What can make me whole again? nothing but the blood of Jesus.

For God so loved the world
That He gave His only begotten Son
That whosoever believeth in Him
Should not perish,
But have everlasting life
