Seats Braces for the back seat (aka. Posterior Couch Gussets)

As you probably know a unibody automobile gets a great deal of its strength from the body.  But, when you modify that car to produce more (much more) power than it was originally designed, the sheet metal origami that once held fast starts to fail.  One such occurrence is a crack forming on the B-pillar, due to the body twisting under the torque.  Prior to putting the braces in, my car has a crack on the B-pillars of both the driver's and passenger's side.
Another side effect is shown below.
This is a view of the center brace behind the rear seat, looking from inside if the vehicle.  There is a crack on either side of the brace just above where its mates to the lower half of the body.

I wanted to design a better set of seat braces, as I do with everything.  All of the existing sets I have seen attach via bolts just above the cracks, in two Xs.  This makes the seat brace almost pointless, due to the mount point flexing.  So with my seat braces I lowered the center mount points to the stronger region under the cracks.  These two points were then welded in place, due to there being insufficient room underneath to bolt.
The pictures below will explain everything better.

Both of the above pictures are views from the inside of the car.  Notice the weld in between the Xs.

The final view, from the trunk side.  The red cloth is just some material I had laying around.  I laid it across the seat back and then put in the seat.
