INSTRUCTIONS:
- Open new white canvas 400x400. You can resize later. I like a lot of room to work with!
- Outline Drawing Tool - 3dmode - custom shape Bubble 3 - green color or your choice -
width 4 - depth 30 - draw a shape approx 250 x 290 - Grab your object paint eraser from your tools
and erase the left hand side til you get the shape as shown. You have to right click, convert object type
From text/path to image before erasing. Then right click, duplicate this piece, go to your Transform Tool
and resize it down to approx 120 x 130 and place as shown.
- Path Drawing Tool - 3dmode - custom shape Fl36 - draw a shape approx 98 x 68, same green color.
This is for those of you, like me, who can't draw a curly design! If you want to freelance it, go ahead. For those of
you who used the shape, again grab your eraser and erase all but he curly part as shown and attach to the end
of the smaller curve, converting object type again, and rotate until it fits nicely, then right click select all
objects, right click merge as single object.
- Path Drawing Tool - 3dmode - custom shape B41 - draw a shape approx 170 x 30 and place at bottom for the
base. You can now right click and select all objects and merge as single object.
- Path Drawing Tool - 3dmode - custom shape B29 - same color as all the previous pieces, draw a shape approx
90 x 93 with a width of 10 and depth of 30. Go to your Easy Palette and under Material Attribute Gallery, Bump, apply
M30 bump. Keep selected, and go up to Mode - choose Continue Draw - select your Path Draw Tool - shape Circle - and
draw a circle in the middle of the birdhouse (you can click on one of the nodes and move it a bit to center it), then
go back up to mode and click back on 3d and voila, you have an opening in your birdhouse! Deselect.
- Path Drawing Tool - 3dmode - green color - shape rectangle - draw a shape approx 80 x 5 and place at bottom of
birdhouse. Duplicate this piece two more times and rotate as needed to fit on each side of roof. I selected each side of
the roof and added a shadow. Left side is shown in picture. Right side is just the same except choose the 2nd shadow option.
Right click, select all objects, right click and merge as single object. You are now ready to decorate!
- Line and Arrow Tool - 3dmode - color green - width 1 - freehand or spline, whichever you are comfortable with, we are
going to draw some squiggly lines up around the outer post.
- Path Drawing Tool - 3dmode - green color - custom shape Fl 16 or your choice of leaf, draw several leaves and place
in various positions around the post, rotating as necessary.
- Stamp Tool - select stamp - choose flower1.ufo (or your choice)- size around 85 and smaller, place some flowers here and there as you like.
Deselect. Okay, time for a right click, select all objects and merge as single object. Almost done!
- Stamp Tool - select stamp - choose butterfly.ufo and stamp one butterfly at a time and place around some of the flowers. That way you
can delete the ones you don't want.
- All Done! Right click select all objects, merge as single object and you can resize now and you have a beautiful piece of springtime even
in the winter!
