INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Open new white canvas 400 x 550.

  2. Path Drawing Tool - 3dmode - circle- - border 10-depth 10 -any color, draw a shape approx 52x52-Go up to your Material and choose for bevel 3dcustom - the first one, then go to bevel settings and set width at 20 and depth at 10, click ok. Set aside.

  3. Path Drawing Tool - 3d - shape - circle - width 10 - depth 15 - a little darker color - draw a shape approx 142 x142.Go to paintbrush, size 20, and use a contrasting pleasing color (I used a turquoise), and go up to Effect, all, paint on edges and apply. Then go to Effect, Fills and Textures, Texture Filter, use the Stone Filter at default settings. Set aside.

  4. Path Drawing Tool - 3d - shape - circle - width 12 - depth 15 - same color as previous circle if desired, draw a shape approx 199 x 199. Use the same filter stone effect on this piece as previously. The only change I made was I used a darker color of the circle instead of the gray that was used in the filter.

  5. Now for the big outside circle, 3d - shape - pipe - color - a tannish color - draw a shape approx 215 x 215. Go back up to Effect, Fills and Textures, Texture Filter, only now we are going to use the Animal Hide Filter. I just used the default settings.

  6. Okay, now we are going to put everything together. LOL - Bring all your pieces together and make sure that you right click and arrange, bring to top all the smaller pieces so that the larger ones are in the back. Also right click, select all objects, right click, align, center both. Merge as single object.

  7. Time to decorate! I used different shapes from the shapes gallery and colors and beads and feathers and you can do the same or use your own imagination.

  8. Okay, time for the lacings! First I used the paint brush, size 7,(don't forget to paint in mode) a dark brown, and went around the hide and place small circles where I wanted the lace to go through. It doesn't have to be perfect. The originals were not. Then I used the line and arrow tool 2d, shape - freehand - width 2 - and just lace around. Now I'm not good at this part. So if anyone can come up with something better, I would loeve to know. This was the hardest part for me.

  9. Line & Arrow Tool again -same settings - draw some lines hanging down to attach your beads and feathers to. But first, we will make the cylinders for the wind chimes before attaching the feathers..

  10. Path Drawing Tool - 3d - shape - rectangle - color - I used a light grey, we are going to change that anyway. Draw a shape approx 8 x 110, then go to your Material Attribute Gallery, Metallic, and I chose Silver 8. Duplicate this item 5 more times and attach to each one of the cords.

  11. Okay, now go for the decorating of feathers and beads. Have fun! I used feathers from Rosie's site and the beads I just made with 3d circles with different colors. Right click, select all objects, right click, merge as single object.

  12. Here's one I did using the Texture Filter - metal- for the feathers. Since this is supposed to be a windchime, I didn't think that feathers would chime too well! :)
