Ree M. Groghan Jr., 79, of St. Albans, W.Va., died Friday, July 6, 2001, at his residence of a long illness.  He was retired from Union Carbide Corp., South Charleston plant as a control systems engineer with 38 years of service. He was a member of Bancroft Church of Christ, Bancroft, W.Va., was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, was formerly of Clarksburg, W.Va., and was a 53-year resident of St. Albans, W.Va.

Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2001, at Valley View Memorial Park, Hurricane with Joel Scott and Danny Underwood officiating.
