Hey guys, Sorry for the delay of news but here it is.
First order of business is the cal match. Golden picked up another victory [13-2] so we are 2-0 in pre season. Props to poof's strats and specail thx to brett for covering for Adam. He did a good job also and going clutch 4-0 first round ct side. Adams cable went out for 2 days so he was not able to make it to the match. Now that pre season is over, we are going to work harder and more practices for our first map; de_train.
Now to adress the server issue. I finally came across a very good offer and it had been right in front of my nose the whole time. Jon is starting up his own server business and he is holding one for us. We are going to buy a 10/12 person private server from him for a very cheap price ONLY if Jon comes through and joins forces with Team golden. Team n3g might fall apart and jon is considering joining us and is very welcome. If he does so, we will share servers and have a public and private server. If not, I will just buy a 12 person public. He is starting his service somewhere in this 2 week period so we should have a server soon.

Timmy just told me that he is coming back very soon! Hes almost saved up enough money to buy a new computer and He will be active once again very soon.

This week seems to be a little busy for some people but I think everyone has some free time after the weekend. Just so you know, Monday, Tuesday, and wednesday, we will be practicing de_comrade for the upcoming match. We are playing clan [word] and I dont know how good they are but PouFy has good strats for comrade and we will be going over them those 3 days. I am not sure on the time yet but we will do it when we have our main cal team on and practice will be anywhere from an hour - two hours. We did a good job at preparing for the last cal match even though we barely had any time so this time I want to make a little less pressured. So just make sure you learn the map until we get to practice. |

Quick note, just gonna tell you guys that I'm redoing the site. I will not be taking the site down or anything, I will just post the entire site when it is finished. I will try my best to do all that I can today seeing as how it's so damn early. Reason of redoing it is just a layout problem. As you can see there is an AIM Contacts menu on the side, but has members that are no longer in Team Golden, this was my stupid mistake, because to edit that menu I have to do it on every single page (stupid me). That's over 60 pages. . .#%@! that...Also most pages are madly outdated. |

just a quick update on whats goin on....
First off, we did lose the old server. :( and it was probably the worst time it could possably be. Incase you have been hearing anything, there has been a lot of anger and argument lately between clan members and tg was on the verge of either reforming and quiting cal or falling apart. As the day progressed, we did make up and we are back to our old selves now and all cool. Once everybody was cool, things started lookin up from there. We got a server to practice on and match on. (props to jon from n3g) And with anger behind us and a good amount of time to practice and get us back in line, we matched our opponents =KK= and owned.

We had a very good time during the macth and we even went TMP only for the last round but lost in a 1v1 situation :( We played this match very well. Adam and his well formulated T strats and Vince working the CT. Poufy and eric rackin up the kills as ussual and I even had some awsome clutch rounds :D (one time owning 4v1 :D)
Just want to say GG and I hope we can continue to preform well in the later matches with no problems. |

A bit more news to touch on than ussual. First off, as you may or may not know, r0b has left the clan and reunited with his old clan. Kind of following in knuckles footsteps. Anywho, we must go on with cal so we had to replace r0b in the roster. Adam aka rabbit is the 5th member in the main cal team. So far, so good. He has very good skills and i think he is a very good addition into the main roster. Our main cal roster is as followed: Rainbow(captain), Eric, Vince(cal leader), Stephen(PouFy :D), and adam Backup: rickyz.
Eric has returned from his trip and we wasted no time starting on the serious cal practices. In a cal practice, We (being our cal team) go over strats and tactics for that map until we know them all well, and then we scrim a few times testing the new strats. Our first practice went very well. We did de_train. Since we already spent a large amount of time going over strats for train, we did not feel we needed to refresh them so we just jumped right into scrimming. We won all 4 scrims on train. We have a strong defense for CT and very well coordinated strats that take good team work and timing for T and thats just what we had tonight. We're going to try and cover de_nuke tommarow. PouFy and I have come up with many T strats that need to be known how to be executed so this practice will last fairly long. And of course, if anyone has any good strats, they are welcome to add them in during the cal practice.
I think everyone knows by now but I'll give you the 411 on the new server. We have been graciously donated a free server from jon aka n3g-infamous. It is a 12 person public server located in Texas. All pings look decent on it so I hope we wont have as many problems as we did the other server. Army and I will start fixing it up and get admin set up for everyone to play on real soon. (admin situation is still pending) You are welcome to come play on it! 216.127.66.84:27017 It will be set up properly soon.
All members of the clan agree that YaS should be recruited without a doubt. Although he has to start out at the low end of the pole again, we are glad to have him back. AIM: YaS 12 seven 82

1st week - de_chateau
2nd week - de_comrade
keep in mind that records do not count in pre season so we are not worried on those maps as much as main cal maps but plan on spending some time working on those maps. |

Hey guys, Just a reminder, Brett is in charge of ALL problems and actions relating to the FTP, Server, and admin. We have been having a lot of problems with distributing admin and people not liking how it's done. Therefore we are going to take a new approach. All team golden members will be getting admin. With this being down, keep in mind that army has access to see all admin commands run through the ftp. IF we catch anyone abusing constantly and disobeying rules, they will have their admin stripped until army thinks you can try again.

YaS has returned to his gaming life and has asked for a try-out. I have decided that i will give him a tryout dispite the fact that we are not recruiting but I am going to be as fair as ever for expectations as far s skill wise. If you see him around, say hi, hes still our friend :D
I decided to change my name back to Rainbow and thats the name I am sticking with :D Now stop telling me my names gay :D |

It seems that talk travles around very fast. It is true that we will have to buy a new server. On sunday, I was told that our server provider is no longer continuing his service leaving us with no server. Being the "great" server provider he is, He also notified me that I was a whole payment behind on the bill. This came out of nowhere because in his letter he sent to me, it states he is supposed to notify me within 2 weeks of my upcoming payment date. However, he didn't tell me anything so I had to pay once again on the dot by myself. He gave me a small deal that if I pay him the next day, he will let us keep our server until the 10th of august. Anywho, I am currently looking for a good priced central server to replace our old one. I also talked to spit and we have come to a deal to share his server. He is of course in charge of that server but we will all have admin on it and we may do whatever we please on it as a 2nd free server. I know spit's isnt the best server with the lag and all but keep in mind that this is a backup server. We are still going to purchase another one. So thank you to spit for donating us a free server.
Vince is out of summer school now and has more time on his hands so we are finally going to complete and update the site. Not a new lay out but there will be a few minor changes to it. We are not going to set a date for finishing this so dont rush him but we plan to make a steady progress none the less.
The first Cal match is august 10th, but keep in mind that it is only a pre season match. Once preseason matches begin, I want to start having practices. Vince, Eric, Stephen, and myself have been making strats and we need to start testing them out as weel as start getting our main cal team in shape for matches. I'll explain more at a later time.
