STAGE SELECT AND DOUBLE LIFE
On the title screen press and hold the following buttons on controller 2:
A, B, UP
While holding all other buttons on controller 2 then press and hold the 
following button on the left on controller 1 to start on the stage listed
on the right:
A		STAGE 2
B		STAGE 3
RIGHT		STAGE 4
And while still holding all of the buttons press the following on controller
1:
START
And not only will you start on the stage you selected you will have doubled
your life meter to 12.
