JAPANESE CHARACTERS
Make sure you have an empty file.  Highlight the New Game option wile you
are on the Menu Select screen then press the following at the same time:
A, X
Now the characters in the Name Registration screen are Japanese characters.

SOUND TEST
When the Nintendo logo appears press and hold the following on Controller 2:
L, R
Select the music with Controller 1 and press A to play it.
