Early this year I wrote the following: "Keep your eyes on the skies' is about as clear as this seeker of truth can make it. It is not only possible but highly probable that a period of God's chastisement is upon us. Already begun in the fall of 1996, it will accelerate through the spring of 1997…" and further stated that I truly believe this because many of God's chosen leaders have used His Word not "...for the edification of His church, but have used it for their own gain and purposes."

Presently, if you turn your eyes on the NW skies at about 9:00 p.m. you can see Hale-Bopp. This comet and the events accompanying it could be a manifestation of the spirit in which these words were written. The spirit in which you receive these words is, as always, your decision.

The same spirit of God that inspired these words has directed me to Jeremiah 23:1-2 for the benefit of those pastors and other church leaders who have chosen to use God's Word for their own purposes. "Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the Lord. Therefore thus saith the Lord God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the Lord."
