Truth Hiders and Hoarders

"Man so loves the world that he created God in his own image" is a brain rattling statement made by my new very high I.Q.'d boss on my first job assignment just out of college in Midland, Texas, in 1957. My assessment then and now? Baloney!
All intelligence, low or high, is a gift from God. All intelligent men are not good men. All good men are not intelligent men. Many unlearned men equate goodness with intelligence and vice versa, which is probably America's greatest tragedy of the 2Oth century in view of its alleged high literacy rate.
Faithless intelligence oftimes leads men to believe that what is said is not as important as who said it. Faithless intelligence oftimes leads men to believe that only "I and we" speak and know the truth and "you and all of you" speak and know not the truth. Faithless truth oftimes leads men to believe it is okay to beat up on "you and yours" but not okay to beat up on "me and mine." And the saddest and most destructive of all these illusions is that men oftimes allow themselves to believe that "I and we" are superior intellectually to "you and all of you" and that only "I and we" are qualified to announce and qualify the capabilities and incapabilities of "you and all of you."
Presently as I see, hear and otherwise observe via newspapers and TV the self-styled intellectual power elite in this great God blessed country concerning executive privilege, moral relativity and valueless Iraqi civilians, the less shaking my high I.Q.'d boss's statement becomes. I am daily and constantly witnessing mankind attempting to recreate the world in his image. There is much evidence that many not well intended highly I.Q.'d men are attempting to control the entire world, most of which do not reside in Iraq.
Good news: relief is in sight! A quote from U.S. News & World Report (2/23/98) by centenarian Charles Hartshorne, a recently rediscovered philosopher of old, had this to say: "Too many intellectuals look down on religion and think it will go away. God is not going away! (Emphasis mine.) There are far more religious people in the world today than when I was born."
More good news! God is a lover, not a killer. My sentence is that those who advocate the destruction of other men, friend or foe, as a solution to the problem are not of God.
Have a good week!
