Rattanakosin City or popularly khown as Bangkok was founded by King Rama I with the splendour of new palaces, temples, fortresses, and city walls. |

People of Bangkok built houses on the river banks of Chao Phya as well as canal systems around the city. |

In rainy seasons,the inhabitants enjoyed making religious merits and festivities in full celebration. |

Two families had built impressive Thai-style houses with gardens and abundant fruits. Their children became close friends, almost like families. |

Children from both houses liked the sight of water and river banks as they watched boats paddled by or enjoyed fishing. |
|
Despite the protection by the monarch, Thai people were always aware and prepared for foes form nearby and afar. |
|
During his twenty-eight years at the new capital, the King ruled with kindness and generousity. Religion flourished while the citizenry lived with happiness. |
