My Second Anniversary

Divider

February 9, 2003, marks the second year anniversary of my lung transplant.

It is difficult to think back just two years ago and remember that at that time, I was having a very hard time breathing and yet, by the grace of God, I have been working full time since three months after God gave me this second chance at living as normal a life as possible.

I am fortunate that I am able to do my work from home giving support to computer technicians working in the field. My work is very challenging but allows me to work in a safe environment and be with my loving wife. My treadmill and stationary bike are in my office, here at home, so that I can exercise daily.

My life is wonderful! I am able to play with my grandchildren and truly enjoy them now that I have the strength and endurance to truly appreciate what God has given me. I am now able to travel as my work allows and Charlotte and I were able to visit the mountains this past May. I love the mountains and it was so nice to be able to do this after so many years of being sick. Hopefully, my work will allow me to travel with my wife more in the coming years.

I am so blessed to have such a large cyber family where many deep and meaningful relationships have been formed. I am able to read the e-mails and visit with these friends on line in between working.

I have so much to be thankful for! Two years ago, I thought my life would end but because of the wonderful family that donated the lung I received, I am able to carry on and help others that are facing the same difficulties I once did. I am living each day to the fullest and do my best to see the good that life has to offer as well as the good in other people.

I thank God for the two years He has given me and pray that for many years He will allow me to
