n
the faraway land, beyond the rainbow of stars, a beautiful angel sat
by her rosy window, dreaming the dream of thousands love.
It was twilight and none slept. Falling from the sky were the delicate
snowflakes that seemed to dance upon the glistening lake. Her ice
kingdom was glowing, sparkling, mirroring the heavenly sky. The
golden moon rested on a frosty branch and diamond dews were like lover’s
frozen tears, reflecting the blue starlight.
Heaven rained down with perfumed violets.
Earth blossomed with midnight roses.
A garland of wild flowers embraced the angel's long, silky hair.
Her soft, gossamer laces fluttered in the night wind like the wings
of a seraph. Was she the beautiful Eurydice waiting for her Orpheus?
Was she the innocent Thisbe yearning for the returning of her
Pyramus? No! She was not even a lover for her heart has been mislaid
long ago by the shore of a misty lake. She could only dream of ,
of a knight who would bring
back her lost heart. As days came and nights went, she sat by the castle's window and
awaited for the night wind. When it arrived, she whispered an enchanted
lullaby and sent it off on a white dove so that it would light the dark
sky, lighting the way for the gallant knight to her chamber.
Upon his arrival, she would caress his lips with a passionate kiss, a
gentle kiss, a devilish kiss, an angelic kiss, and there, the kisses would
nestle next to his heart forever in an eternal bliss.
Gently, she
whispered "wander no more, seek no more, for
is riding on
the night wind ..."
