Of LIFE--
American’s Black population endeavors ever...striving to elevate whatever present condition that’s heaped upon it. But, presently, this sector of America finds its personage not being elevated--but all other segments of the American population being divested--devalued. While American politics heaps high the “public” revenues into corporate coffers, such “leading” servants of humanity “mouth” encouragements to a “floundering “ populous--that we may give “relief” one to another...in the spirit of unity and goodwill; their “gifting” to the American people being rhetoric...and little else.
Please, consider ...a while ago a Black (African-American) offered this “greeting” to the Bill Maur panel of guess...and to America at large:
Welcome to the
It is obvious that this young man was making reference to the fear that ensued following the September 11 “air crash” attacks upon U.S. (New York) soil. It is also obvious that the “Rodney King incident” in California, the treatment by police officers (especially in states such as New York and Florida) and the court system throughout this country, as well as the “selective” laws and polices that “lock up” America’s Black population...while exercising “discretion” towards his white counterpart were “factors” not far removed from thought.
A Mr. Bird being dragged down a two-mile stretch of Texas road, only to have the governor of Texas (George W. Bush) refuse to meet with this Black man’s grieving daughter and sister is not a commentary on the men who “lynched” Mr. Bird, but the callus system that makes no distinction between those who victimize others and those who are victimized. This season of Thanksgiving, Christmas , and New Year’s should be one of song...a “song” of encouraging “LOVE.” But, regrettably, what we have is something very different. And now, I...regrettably, “echo” the young Black man’s greeting--“Welcome to Black America”....
Of LIBERTY--
In this holiday season (with September 11 behind us) are we asked to “go on about the business” of living our own lives. But are that special “song” in this country of giving “strained.” “Meanwhile, little is done (and, perhaps, expected?) concerning the Anthrax dilemma. Wherein our governing body is quick to secure--as in the earlier instance of “seeking” a “rabbit hole”--and insist upon secure stations for themselves, allowing themselves to return to “business as usual.” But this same body “lingers” and “lags” from baring up the “legitimate security for the public--not allowing the American people the liberty to feel well.
And concerning their approach towards “terrorism” and “airport security,” now is liberty completely “snatched” away. Since the “managing” personages are influenced by the Raganistic “trickle down” theory, the newly granted surveillance practices (communistic in scope) is designed “unburden” persons upon U.S. shores of that encumbering “rules of law” we Americans have heard made much of within the pass seven years.
Could there be a pattern? Perhaps, Presidential? (Often has the tone struck: “It could have been....”) Rhetoric, yes. But, perhaps, it’s just a matter of time before every truth is hidden and every American is made suspect...to be detained, grilled, and denied attorney representation...and all outside the purlieu of the U.S. Constitution. Imagine...presently, amongst all the contrivances, our “central” edifice of liberty--the White House--is secured, “locked down” from visitations of an adoring public. At what price Liberty?
Of The PURSUIT Of HAPPINESS

How come this era...whereas individuals feel compelled--quoting Washington and Lincoln--these two who “cautioned” against usurpation of the rights and freedom granted by our country’s very own laws, policies? And these present-day individuals do “echo” caution against flimsy excuses contrived as “measures of security,” however designed to “relieve” the populous of long held understandings and practices of “rightful” and “expressive” freedoms.
Should we hope to stand united...“inclusion” must be an elevating--not a devaluating upon American soil. Our “leaders” must offer up encouragement without the depleting of the soul of America: Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness....
