hey... I had to get something to pull the SeaDoo XP!
Another trade-in to my dealership. I love the fringe benefits of working at a dealership!! I got the Ram in March 04.
Since I've had this, I haven't had to really do much to it. I bought some H2 center caps to put on the wheels, just so it is more obvious that they are Hummer wheels. The front ones pop right on, but the rears weren't quite as easy. The 4-wheel drive hub sticks through the wheel too far. The centers of the wheels are milled out to fit over the hubs and there are spacers behind them to push the wheel out so the studs are the proper length for the lug nuts. What I had to do was cut a circle in the midle of the center cap so they would fit over the hub. However once I did this, I didn't think it looked good enough, so I took the center off, removed the wheel, and then wire brushed/sanded down the hub and painted it a metallic silver so that it matched the color of the wheel. When I got it all back together the final outcome I thought looked very mean. I was impressed.
Notice how well the bike fits in the 8 foot bed? YEAH BABY!
I was wanting a front brush guard or a whole front end replacement bumper. I was pricing them and didn't want to spend that much money though. I came across a guy who was selling his Ram and had a brush guard on there. I called him up and said I'll buy that brush guard off ya if you don't mind. He said sure. So I swung over there and unbolted it from his truck and took it home. I got a steal. It was faded from age, so I dropped it off at one of the paint shops from my dealership and got a great hook up on bringing it back to life. Then Bolted it on my Ram. It is extremely heavey and seems to be very durable and sturdy. All I know is I wouldn't want to be riding in the civic that gets rear ended by my 3 ton truck with this huge steel guard leading the way.
I finally got a CD player installed in the truck. So I can get all my good music out again. I only had one tape, so that was getting old.
