Adventures in Arcadayn
By Tim Emrick
"Ongrica" (meaning "against the king") is the name given to the region of the Outlands that was once known as Tembar. Ongrica is located beyond the gap between the Auroras and Ongrican Mountains in eastern Kurbesim. It was originally a fertile region of hills, valleys, and grasslands, with rivers draining to an ocean far to the east, but the extent of the changes wrought by the Great Scourge is unknown. Those regions visited by the surviving Krithians had been thoroughly laid waste. See "History of the Krithian Empire" for more about Tembar and how it became Ongrica.
Racial Stock: Tembar was colonized by Krithians, who are southern Anidel men. The sparsely-settled indigenous people were stocky and hairy, with light brown skin and dark hair. The closest resemblance among modern Arcadayn people would be the Krith-Desert Men hybrids; in fact, some historians speculate that the original "Tembarians" were a Tordul people distantly related to those from which the Desert Men derive. No pure-blooded natives have been senn since the Civil War, but some Krithian bloodlines are more swarthy and hirsute than pure-Anidel men.
Religions: Unknown. Ormenlind, who started the Krithian Civil War, is known to have been corrupted into the service of demon gods, and cults to those gods may survive here. Unlike Arcadayn, this region may even have flourishing cults worshiping the plague-gods Mukor and Mefira.
