The Review: Ok guys...lets get real shall we! Talk about a disc that has a whole bunch of watered down wanna-be tough guy lyrics! One of my favorites is "Yeah. You thought you were one standin' in the sun. But now the sun is goin' down on you." This whole CD has a certain irriating feel to it. I remember having that feel in the 90s when several of the hair bands started to make the cross from the lipstick wearing, big hair image to the "yeah we're tough lets forget about our tight pants" image in rock. This CD can probably be defined as AC/DC with a little bit more thrust. The lead singer Mark Tornillo has a voice that is not a far cry from Brian Johnson's but I kept wondering how many sucrets he had to go through while recording this CD. What I am getting at is that this CD will probably impress a few but totally annoy other rock fans to the point of lunacy. Can't you just smell the testosterone...snicker... |

The Review: When I found out that this was the band that sold out Fred Durst, you can only bet how happy I was to give this CD a shot. The whole story goes (as far as I have heard anyhow...) that Durst was trying to get these guys on his record label and before he knew it, they were off surfing the Atlantic. So I figured anyone who puts down Durst deserves at least a spot in my CD Review Archives. At first I was expecting to hear a whole bunch of rap core stuff. Turns out I was wrong however these guys are pretty trendy mixing styles heard with bands like The Deftones (earlier stuff anyhow...) and Staind. Other than that, I can only laugh out out at the image of poor little Fred Durst wondering around like Little Bo Peep looking for his lost artist...man that makes you feel good to think that doesn't it? |

The Review: This CD is the balls and I dare anyone to challenge that! This band is nothing more than 100% pure agression with it's vicious metal core edge. This band will make even the most ballsy of hardcore bands cower in fear. In so many words, these guys define intense with heavy riffage and crazy ass drum beats. Words alone can not describe lead man Henzel's snarls and screams but I do recommend getthing behind some bullet proof glass if you ever see these guys because they will penatrate just about any heavy object! If a couple vocalists sound familar on this disc then you're not mistaken. Fellow hardcore folk from Fury of Five and Bad Luck 13 make some guest appearances. The CD is an all out cuss fest though but regardless of anything, the four tracks you can play over the air will provide you with tons of adrenaline pumping action. I really doubt that there is anything left to say except get this CD...you will not be disappointed! |
