WE HAVE NOT YET BEGUN TO FIGHT -- John Paul Jones, father of US Navy (and knowing Bay County apathy, I doubt we ever will - Stan)

Hi E,

Someone whose name ISN'T stanclark for starters. I'll try the County Press. Welcome home from the Bay Co. Airport Issue Wars! Can you believe the locals are rolling over and playing dead on the Boot Camp Case just like they did on the Airport issue? What I hate about us being a democracy is we can blame nobody but ourselves for our problems.

I just finished reading all of the posts on the Boot Camp case and recommend others do likewise to learn about this case. I feel that they'll find that it has nothing to do with the major media's racist lynch mob frenzy. In fact, if Dr. Siebert is correct, as the world's foremost authority on sickle cell trait mortality involving young black males with sickle cell trait in military boot camps, Dr. John Qark, insists (and I agree), there is no case even. Dr. Qark found that one in 3000 boot camp recruits who have sickle cell trait die during boot camp. Four died in one summer at Ft. Bliss (my army boot camp, BTW). All had sickle cell trait and only one percent of the recruits fit that description. Where was the NAACP then? Or for the over 100 other boot camp "murders" Dr. Qark analyzed?

I find it amusing that Dr. Siebert's most vocal critic, California "NOSPANK" Nite Owl, defends his position that Dr. Siebert is inept and incompetent by quoting none other than Dr. Qark! Don't get me wrong. I join Nite Owl's Crusade wholeheartedly that physical force and abuse is no way to discipline children. My two children and my grandson, the joy of my life, have never been spanked or hit. Well, so far, at least. But Nite Owl is leading the wrong crusade here. This crusade is for truth and justice, and I've seen little of it on the boot camp case so far. Fortunately, Nite Owl is extremely intelligent and will come around once he has done his homework. We Lower Alabama Redneck Riveria racists will learn him yet.

I will be responding negatively to the Miami Herald's Pulitzer Prize winning columnist, Leonard Pitts, Pulitzer or no Pulitzer, separately and in detail. But challenge only one point for now in passing, that no woman has testes. My X-wife has testes. I know because they used to be mine. And she used brutal physical abuse to remove them from me called divorce. Let's see if we can wake up Nite Owl. Stan "squeaky voice" Clark

PS Mr. Pitts creation follows and it is the pitts.

Leonard Pitts: Black kids behind bars

So now we know how Martin Lee Anderson died.

We can forget the original autopsy report filed by Charles Siebert, a doctor so inept he wasn't technically a doctor (he had allowed his license to lapse) when he issued the report. A doctor so inept he once described a person he autopsied as having "unremarkable" testes. The person was a woman, so if she had testes at all, it would seem quite remarkable, indeed.

Siebert claimed that after being hit, manhandled and choked by guards Jan. 5 at a so-called boot camp in Panama City, Fla., the 14-year-old Anderson died of sickle cell trait, a genetic blood disorder carried by one in 12 Americans of African heritage. That finding has been roundly hooted by real doctors, who say it is unlikely in the extreme the condition could lead to death.

Friday before last, a new autopsy told a different story. Dr. Vernard Adams, Tampa's chief medical examiner, found that the child died because guards covered his mouth and forced him to inhale ammonia.
