Lewiston Morning Tribune -- October 1, 2003

YAKIMA - Police say a 10-year-old boy stabbed a 7-year-old girl in the toy aisle of a Target store.
The boy was in the store Monday with his mother and grabbed a paring knife from a display, Lt. Mike Merryman said. The child walked to the toy aisle, where he stabbed the girl in the back.
Store security called police. The girl was treated at a Yakima hospital. Her injuries were not life-threatening.
No charges were expected. (Associated Press)
