Eminem's anti-Bush lyrics weren't meant for public

Eminem didn’t dis the president — or at least he didn’t do it for public consumption. Lyrics sung by the controversial rapper saying he’d “rather see the president dead” than sing for money were posted on the Drudge Report and are causing outrage among Bush supporters.
But now Eminem’s rep is fuming that those lyrics were not necessarily going to be included on one of his CDs.
“That was from an unfinished track that was lost or stolen,” the rapper’s rep told The Scoop. “It was not anything we released, and may not have ever been released at all.”
Another source says that Eminem may not be prepared to face the sort of wrath endured by the Dixie Chicks, who reportedly received death threats when one of them said she was embarrassed by Bush.
“Eminem caused a lot of controversy — and publicity — with those homophobic lyrics of his,” says the source, “but this sort of stuff could get you some serious boycotting.”

I'm really fairly indifferent to Eminem. I'm not a big fan of rap, or little blonde boys with perpetually pissed off looks, but I liked "8 Mile", and I've enjoyed some of his songs, so this doesn't bother me because I'm Eminem's biggest screaming fan. It bothers me because, according to "the source", controversy and publicity are generated by being a homophobe, but expressing personal opinions on our illustrious president are cause for boycotting and death threats. Admittedly, I haven't been on this planet all that long, so maybe this is the way things have always been, and I'm just some young whippersnapper stirring up things that have been settled since before Jesus was invented, but it just doesn't make much sense to me. And I am so sorry that Bush's supporters are outraged. Well, I would rather see the president dead than strutting around like a jackass, screwing things up the way he is now. And, now that I think about it, I really like the Dixie Chicks and their big balls. Boycott me!!! C'mon, where are my death threats??
