Now linked with rap collective Westside Connection, West Coast rapper William L. Calhoun, Jr. (a.k.a. WC) made his debut as a member of the Rhyme Syndicate and one half of Low Profile (along with DJ Aladin). After releasing one (classic) LP, the crew split, and WC formed his new group, The Maad Circle, which released two LPs. In 1996, Ice Cube enlisted Mack 10 and WC for the Westside Connection, which released Bow Down, their debut effort, to critical acclaim. The album soared to the No. 2 spot on the charts and earned the Westside Connection a gold record. WC's solo debut, the well-received, The Shadiest One, appeared in 1998 and features the talents of the Dramatics, Too Short and E-40. Responsible for the whole dubs idea, WC can be seen givin' it up for the West-Coast. WC is now working on The Ghetto Hesiman, due out in 2001. WC has been in the game for years, he has always produced dope music.
