NavRadSta (R) Northwest was a small communications station located about 30 miles south of Norfolk, VA., and tucked away in part of the Great Dismal Swamp. Our base was actually part of Naval Communications Station Norfolk, and our total base complement was about 400 people. I served there from July 1967 to October 1969 with the Naval Security Group in the ComSec Division at Receivers. The base is now known as Naval Security Group Activity Northwest.

This page is also an attempt to locate some CT friends of mine who were stationed at Northwest during the years I was there.

I'm looking for Charlie Booher, Dennis Boaz, Joe Irber, John Harbold, Walter Jones, John Harris, Randy Arnest, Sam Moore, Jerry Biezak, or any of you other guys.
