23rd Foot
Royal Welch Fusiliers (UK)
The 23rd Foot (UK) was set up in 1987 to recreate the regiment during the American War of Independence 1775-83. Since then, we have taken part in filming for various television companies, and attended events all over Britain. Although our base is in Wales, we have members from all over Britain
Please feel free to browse
our website where you'll find photos of ourselves at events, and snapshots
taken during the filming we have done for the BBC, ITV, Ulster Television
and the History Channel. We pride ourselves on being one of the best re-enactment
groups in Britain of any period, and have often been praised for our authenticity
and knowledge of the 18th century.
The 23rd Foot (UK) is a
member of 'Esprit de Corps' re-enactment society.
PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE NOT A GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY AND CANNOT HELP WITH ENQUIRIES REGARDING PAST MEMBERS OF THE REGIMENT. WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU DIRECT ANY SUCH ENQUIRIES TO THE OFFICIAL ROYAL WELCH FUSILIERS WEBSITE http://www.rwfnet.co.uk/
