The original Alien
Vs. Predator was one of the few bright spots in the Atari
Jaguar's meager software library, selling over one hundred thousand copies
in 1994 (huge numbers for a Jag game.) Another well-received
AVP
game appeared years later for the PC, though it was viewed as being unfairly
difficult. Unfortunately, the AVP game that was announced
for the 32x was not a first-person shooter. Rather, it was a port of the
irritating side-scrolling arcade fighter of the same name (think Streets
of Rage or Double Dragon.) It's often confused with
the other unreleased Alien-themed 32x game, Alien Trilogy.
