Sega's classic, earth-friendly Ecco the Dolphin adventure series was scheduled for a 32x release and was supposedly deep into development when it was canceled, never to be seen again. The lush 2-D graphics would have been right at home on the 32x hardware, much like the similarly themed Kolobri. Various Ecco games appeared for the Genesis, Sega Cd, and Game Gear, and Ecco even made the jump to 3-D with a beautiful but frustrating game for the Dreamcast. A children's version called Ecco Jr. was also considered for release, but it was axed along with its parent.
