Core Design's original Sega CD game Soul Star  is an awesome shooter featuring colorful sprite-based graphics, smooth scaling, and a behind-the-ship view. The upgraded Soul Star X would have made a fine showcase title for the 32x, especially with enhanced graphics and additional levels. Soulstar X coverage appeared in numerous gaming publications of the time and was advertised as being "Also Available for 32x" on the back cover of the instruction booklet for another Core title, BC Racers, along with another unreleased game, Virtual Golf.  The game was evidently well into development when it was cancelled, and video footage of the game in action appeared on the video included in the Virtua Fighter Training Pack. A playable prototype is probably floating around out there somewhere.
