A 32x version of Capcom's
classic Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo would have been more
than welcome, but a port of their dreadful Street
Fighter: The Movie snoozer would have been just another
nail in the coffin. The digitilized graphics of the movie's actors are
a poor substitute for Capcom's gorgeous hand-drawn sprites, and the fighting
engine seems to emulate the simplistic
Mortal Kombat school
of fighting rather then the deep gameplay of the original Street
Fighter 2 series.
Street Fighter: The Movie was blessedly
cancelled for the 32x, but the Saturn and Playstation are cursed with this
lackluster fighter, now appearing in bargain bins everywhere.
