Kemko's long-running
and highly-regarded arcade/console racing series was set to make a pitstop
on the 32x but was junked when the fledgling console crashed and burned.
The original Top Gear appeared on the Super Nintendo and
spawned 2 sequels, while various Top Gear games also appeared
for the Sega Genesis, Nintendo 64, Playstation 2, and Game
Boy Advance. The 32x port of Top Gear Overdrive
would most likely have been similar to the
Genesis or Super Nintendo
releases, rather than the graphically beautiful
Nintendo 64 game
of the same name.
