Co-op Spanish Premium Lager, 5% ABV
This beer, distributed by Co-op, IS actually brewed in Spain, but it’s not a patch on other Spanish beers. It has a ricy tasty, finishing bitter, sharp, and refreshingly hoppy. The bitter, fizzy mouthfeel does it no favours, but it has a nice fresh smell of hops and rice. A medium-dry, highly carbonated, medium-bodied beer, with an undulating head. This is a great alternative to the crap lagers that are sold in England, but it’s nowhere near as nice as Co-op’s other beers.
